Things That Drip

Listen to the sound of
The dripping of water,
Etching the face of the rock.
Changes through time and
Eons of history,
Spinning the hands of the clock.

Smell the tang of
The blood of the battle,
Dripping in fields sown with seed.
Sacrifice changes the
Taste of the harvest,
Eating where they had to bleed.
